Baillie has been swiping food off my plate! Funny! 

I gave him some mushed up pumpkin last night, and he’s woken up with TERRIBLE nappy rash for the first time in his life! 

I also put him in a disposable nappy for the first time (to get him to sleep through the night) last night that weren’t the biodegradable ones we use for travelling, so am wondering if perhaps that is the problem. 

So today we are having a No Pants day, and he is getting his tooshie wiped with baking soda and warm water :)

Went to an Andy Warhol exhibit in Wellington too! Got to sit for and view a 4 minute screen test of myself too, wicked fun! AMAZING seeing his paintings and drawings up close, what a man!

Me and Baillie are just back from a holiday up north, to see/meet my dad and my Grandparents.  Was...

Me and Baillie are just back from a holiday up north, to see/meet my dad and my Grandparents. 

Was so weird seeing my dad, he visited when I was 20, which was the first time I’d seen him in ten years, and I didn’t really get anything from the visit,but seeing him this time, as a parent myself, changed a lot of things for me. 

I realise that a lot of the ‘daddy issues’ I had are more anger towards my mum, for pitting me against my dad and encouraging me to choose not to have a relationship with him etc, children’s loyalties should not be a competition!

It’s made me really think about the way I want to bring Baillie up, as a single parent, I don’t want him to grow up thinking I did anything to ‘scare’ his dad off, so I will never badmouth him (in front of Baillie anyway)
